Tom Dixon

Tom Dixon is a British designer specializing in furniture design and creative director of his own eponymous firm, whose work includes iconic pieces that have It has been exhibited in museums, galleries and fairs and is inspired by the unique heritage of its country.

 

Born in Tunisia in 1959 to a British father and French mother, Dixon moved to Tunisia. He moved with his family to London, United Kingdom, when he was 4 years old. He abandoned his art studies to play bass with a band called Funkapolitan and discovered He discovered his affinity for industrial design by chance, after suffering a traffic accident and trying to repair his motorcycle on his own, which led him to to discover and learn welding there by 1983.
